Privacy Policy
Your screenshots, dictation, and GitHub token stay on your device. Here's exactly what Vox Issue does and doesn't touch.
Last updated: 31 August 2026
Tiny Electrons LLC ("Vox Issue", "we", "us") built Vox Issue as an app that turns screenshots of your web app into GitHub issues. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We designed Vox Issue to keep your data on your device and in your own GitHub repositories wherever possible.
Data we process
Stays on your device
- Screenshots & captures of the web pages you point Vox Issue at.
- Dictation and notes you record for each screenshot. Speech is transcribed on-device using Apple's Speech framework.
- Markup, tags, and project settings.
Sent to services you connect
- GitHub. When you file issues or sync, screenshots, titles, descriptions, labels, and project-field values are sent to the GitHub repositories you choose, using the access token you provide. Your token is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device and is never sent to us.
We do not collect
- We do not run analytics or advertising SDKs in the app, and we do not sell personal information.
- We do not receive your screenshots, notes, or GitHub token on our own servers.
How we use data
Data is used only to provide the app's features: capturing screens, transcribing dictation, and filing issues to your GitHub. The marketing website (voxissue.com) is a static site; see our Cookie Policy for what the site stores in your browser.
Microphone & speech
Vox Issue requests microphone and speech-recognition permission so you can dictate what's wrong with a screenshot. Transcription runs on-device. You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Sharing
The only third party your content flows to is GitHub, at your direction and under GitHub's privacy statement. We use no other processors for in-app content.
Data retention & deletion
Because your data lives on your device and in your GitHub, you control retention. Deleting the app removes local data; deleting issues or repositories in GitHub removes what was filed there.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Since we don't hold your content on our servers, most requests are satisfied on-device or via GitHub. For anything else, contact us.
Children
Vox Issue is a developer tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the "last updated" date above.
